VisionWay Christian School Students Raise Over $2,600 for Hope House of Central Illinois

VisionWay Christian School recently wrapped up its annual Missions Week, and this year’s effort was a huge success! Students, families, and staff came together to raise money and awareness for Hope House of Central Illinois, a local ministry that provides hope and a place of refuge for families as they navigate the loss of a child.

Throughout the week, students participated in a friendly boys vs. girls fundraising competition, bringing in change, cash, and donations each day. Their combined efforts raised an impressive $1,304, which was then matched dollar-for-dollar, bringing the total donation to $2,608.

The girls’ team raised $575, while the boys pulled ahead with $729 — but ultimately, everyone was a winner as the VisionWay community came together to support such an important cause.

As part of the week’s events, students also had the opportunity to hear from Monica Wamsley, a founding member of Hope House of Central Illinois, who shared about the ministry’s mission and the real-life impact it has in our community.

Missions Week at VisionWay Christian School is an annual tradition that not only raises funds but also teaches students the importance of generosity, empathy, and living out their faith through action.
